El Arco de Cabo San Lucas

"El Arco" or The Arch of Cabo San Lucas was created by natural erosion. Two years ago, I had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful rock formation. It marks the southern most point of Baja California where the Pacific Ocean meets the Gulf of California. It is not accessible by land and is known for all of the sea lions that congregate nearby.

There are several tour companies that will take you out to see the formation up close. Often, the tour will include stops along the way to see the pristine beaches in the area such as the famous "Lover's Beach" (Playa del Amor).  This small secluded beach can only be reached by boat.

Our tour on the bottom glass boat included a stop near a pretty coral reef where our tour guides tossed tortillas, yes old tortillas!, into the sides of the boats so the colorful marine life would come to the surface. It was truly beautiful and the weather was gorgeous. Relaxing and enjoyable.
